Celestial Bodies is once again excited about joining the wonderful community at Black Rock City. For more than a decade, our campmates have participated in and volunteered for this great gathering.  In 2007, we added a new and much larger community lounge, bar and comfort space to share with our friends and neighbors.  And now, in 2008, we are grateful for the opportunity to share new exciting activities with our fellow burners. Look for us in Avalon Village on Dart, between 8:00 and 8:30.

The American Scream - Camp Celestial Bodies will showcase the various and wonderful talents of Black Rock City thespians and artists.  We invite dancers, singers, jugglers, hoopers, comedians, poets and other performers to share their talents with the Burning Man community.  To learn more about The American Scream, click here.  To participate, sign up to now by contacting CampCelestialBodies.

Miss UnAmerica Pageant - Join MissTake, MissFit, MissBehave and other beauties in a fun and outrageous pageant.  Dress up as your favorite, most outrageous Miss UnAmerica contestant. Tiaras and sashes provided (or make your own).  The pageant will be held on Playa Friday (August 29th) starting at 1pm with cocktails in our lounge followed by a parade through center camp and dancing at the Deep End. Let Freedom Ring - Celestial Bodies invites you to help us plant the Peace and Freedom Garden, an artistic collection of international bells and chimes sculptures and art pieces for all to ring.  To participate, simply bring your piece to Camp Celestial Bodies @ Avalon Village during the event.  Our campmates will be on hand to help with the installation.  For more information about the garden and art piece size specification, click here or contact: Camp Celestial Bodies. Camp Celestial Bodies is excited to be an official stop this year during the Naked Bike Ride.
The ride will be begin at The Man, 11:00 am on Playa Thursday (August 28).  We'll be service up gallons of our delicious and refreshing Playa Cosmo.  

Our Green Challenge: In 2007, we expanded our solar capacity and enhanced our greywater evaporation systems.  We were delighted to learn that we our campsite was a clean GREEN on the MOOP map.  Many thanks to all of our hardworking and conscientious campmates, friends and guests, and for the support and guidance of the Earth Guardians.
